Professional and powerful soldering tips

The right soldering tip is an absolute must-have for any professional soldering work. Whether in production, R&D or rework, depending on the soldering task, the requirements for the soldering tip itself as well as its construction, heat transfer, heat-up time and other factors can vary. We offer you various soldering tips that adapt to your work. Our range offers different types of soldering tips, from affordable entry-level options, versatile and professional mid-range devices to precise and powerful high-end models, as well as efficient desoldering tips which help you to separate solder joints and cleanly remove solder residues. With us, you're guaranteed to find the right soldering tip for your work.

Strong performance and flexibility with our Power-Response Technology

Proven quality and solid performance: our soldering tips with Power-Response technology offer you optimal performance and plenty of flexibility. Tips such as the XT B can be used for numerous applications and are particularly well suited for soldering work with high heat requirements and large solder joints. This also applies to our soldering tips from our XNT series, which are available in round-, chisel- and conical form. In addition to this, there are also tips from the series with an angled chisel form, such as the XNT HX 30°, which allows for precise work, even on densely populated PCBs. With our soldering tips with Power-Response technology, the soldering tip is pushed directly over the heating element, which leads to a fast heat-up time and good temperature control. In addition to this, the temperature sensor of the tips is positioned relatively far at the front of the tip, which also allows for precise soldering tasks with special temperature requirements.

Proven, versatile and cost-effective: Our Silver-Line Technology

If you're looking for reliable soldering tips for standard soldering tasks at the lowest possible price without making major compromises on quality, our Silver-Line technology is the perfect solution for you. The various tips from our LT series, such as the LT B, are compatible with our WXP 80, WP 80 and WSP 80 soldering irons and offer a broad spectrum of application areas. Thanks to their robust design made from iron-plated copper, the soldering tips are particularly durable and long-lasting, making them an efficient as well as cost-effective option. As with all our soldering tips, a toolless tip change is also possible with our models from the Silver-Line. Additionally, you can also choose between soldering tips in chisel and round form as well as conical form with our LT series, so that the tips can be easily adapted to your soldering task, the respective solder joint and your individual requirements.

Frequently asked questions
  1. Why is tinning the soldering tip important?

Tinning the soldering tip not only ensures that the tip is protected from oxidation and severe wear, but also helps to improve heat transfer. For precise and efficient work, you should tin the soldering tips accordingly before and after use.

  2. Why do soldering tips dissolve?

The most common reason why soldering tips dissolve and wear out over time is oxidation, which becomes a problem particularly with inadequate maintenance. If the soldering tip is not adequately maintained and tinned, the protective layer of the tip can wear off due to intense heat. The wrong flux or too little flux can also play an important role here. To use your soldering tips for as long as possible, it is important to consider the correct maintenance and care.

  3. How long does a soldering tip last?

How long an individual soldering tip lasts depends entirely on the proper care and specific use of the tip. With heavy usage, regular cleaning and tinning is indispensable, but even with less usage or less demanding soldering projects, care should be taken to ensure that the tip is thoroughly cleaned and tinned before and after each use.

  4. How do I clean a soldering tip correctly?

A soldering tip can be cleaned either by dry cleaning with brass wool or by wet cleaning with an appropriate cleaning sponge. The tip is wiped either with the wool or with the damp sponge to remove dirt and residue. After working with high temperatures, dry cleaning is recommended, as using a wet sponge can lead to thermal shock. In addition to cleaning, tinning the tips is also an important step for proper maintenance, in order to avoid permanent damage to the soldering tip.

  5. What shapes do the soldering tips have?

Our soldering tips are available in different shapes depending on the series and model. Our range includes soldering tips in chisel form, round form as well as conical tips. In some cases, tips with an angled form are also available, which enable precise work on densely populated PCBs.
