Which heating technology is used in the Smart Desoldering Tweezers?
The Smart Desoldering Tweezers WXUTS and WXMTS utilize Weller’s Active Tip Heating Technology. In this design, the heating element is integrated directly into the tip, enabling fast heat-up times and highly precise temperature control.
Compared to conventional heating systems, this technology minimizes thermal losses and ensures efficient heat transfer directly at the solder joint, even under demanding conditions or high thermal loads. This results in stable process performance and improved control, especially when working with sensitive electronic components.
Active Tip Heating Technology is also used in other Weller soldering tools, such as RT-based desoldering tweezers (e.g. WXMT MS, WXMT), which follow the same principle of integrating the heating element into the tip for maximum performance.
However, it is important to note that tools sharing the same heating technology are not necessarily interchangeable or compatible with each other. Compatibility depends on the specific station platform, interface, and system design (e.g. WXsmart vs. previous WX generations), not solely on the heating principle.
