Round Nose Pliers

Round Nose Pliers

Weller Erem Round Nose Pliers for Electronics Manufacturing

Our Weller Erem round nose pliers bend wires and form loops with a consistency that other types of pliers cannot match. The round, tapering jaws guide the material in a controlled way, so that every curve comes out evenly. All models are ESD-safe and Swiss Made. For differing workplace requirements we offer two series: the ergonomic 2400 MagicSense series for continuous use and the compact Series 500 for varied fine work.

2443P: Ergonomic Grip for Continuous Use

Anyone who works several hours a day with round nose pliers in production needs a tool that takes the strain off the hand. The 2443P from our 2400 MagicSense series is built for exactly that. Its ergonomically shaped grip prevents hand fatigue, even during extended use. At 146 mm long and just 76 g, it offers enough leverage for controlled bends without feeling heavy in the hand. The precisely ground jaws produce even curves down to a 0.8 mm tip width, covering even demanding work in microelectronics and in the production of medical devices (medical technology). The non-reflective surface reduces glare under workplace lighting, and like all our Weller Erem round nose pliers, the 2443P is fully ESD-safe.

543E: Compact and Versatile for Fine Work

Not every application calls for the ergonomic MagicSense grip of the 2400 series. For fine work in the lab or varied tasks at different workstations, the 543E from our Series 500 is often the better choice. At 120 mm long and 66 g, it is noticeably more compact than the 2443P, and its soft foam grip sits comfortably in the hand. Technically the two models are on a par, as the 543E offers the same jaw quality at an identical tip width. Its more manageable form really shows when forming wire loops or bending connecting wires on PCBs. The 543E is fully ESD-safe as well.

Frequently Asked Questions
  1. What are round nose pliers used for?

Round nose pliers are used above all for bending wires and forming loops. Their round, tapering jaws create even curves, whereas flat nose pliers would tend to leave sharp edges in the same place. In electronics manufacturing, round nose pliers are used for forming connecting wires and routing fine leads.

  2. Are Weller Erem round nose pliers ESD-safe?

Yes, all our Weller Erem round nose pliers are ESD-safe and suitable for use in ESD-protected work areas. This applies to the 2443P from the 2400 MagicSense series just as much as to the 543E from the Series 500. The ESD protection prevents sensitive components from being damaged by uncontrolled electrostatic discharge.

  3. Which Weller Erem round nose pliers are right for me?

Both Weller Erem round nose pliers are suited to precision work in electronics; the difference lies in the grip concept and the size. If you work with round nose pliers for several hours a day, for example in series production, the 2443P is the better choice, as its ergonomic MagicSense grip prevents hand fatigue. For varied tasks, in the lab or for fine work in confined spaces, we recommend the more compact 543E. Technically both models are equivalent: the same tip width, the same ESD protection.

  4. What types of pliers are there?

We divide our Weller Erem range by jaw shape and intended use. Round nose pliers such as the 2443P and 543E are specialised in forming curves and loops. Alongside these we offer flat nose pliers, long nose pliers, wire strippers and IC/SMD pliers for the placement and repair of PCBs. All Weller Erem pliers are made in Switzerland and are ESD-safe.
