How do we recondition and repair your Weller Erem tools:
- We do an initial inspection of each tool to assess the condition of the hinge joint, the cutter head, and cutting edges. Any tools that are too heavily damaged and can't be refurbished will be returned or replaced according to your instructions.
- Each tool receives a thorough cleaning and polishing to remove any dirt or grime that may affect the performance of the tool.
- Worn grips are removed and replaced
- Hinge joints are adjusted and lubricated to bring them back into factory specifications.
- If needed worn springs will be replaced.
- All cutting surfaces are sharpened, honed, and tested.
- A final inspection is done ensuring that the tool has been fully restored to our reconditioned specifications.
Weller Erem Reconditioning Terms and Conditions
- We can recondition any Weller Erem precision tools as long as the tool is not too heavily damaged as per the findings of our technician's initial inspection.
- Our turn-around time is generally less than 5 business days. In order to maintain this level of responsiveness you may receive a refurbished tool that is an exact match to your tool but may not necessarily be the tool that you send in.
- Should you need to have your exact tool refurbished and returned to you, please contact customer service. Allow 6-8 weeks delivery.
- Our service department will contact you if our inspection determines that your tool can not be reconditioned.
- If a tool can not be reconditioned you will receive an offer to purchase a new tool or you can have your damaged tool returned to you at your cost.
- Our reconditioning services are limited to North America.
- Tools will need to be shipped to our location in North Carolina at your expense.
- Credit card prepayment is required prior to shipping.
- In the event that you request that your damaged tool be returned to you, you will be refunded your original prepayment amount less the cost of the return shipment.
- New tools will be shipped at no charge.
- Return freight for reconditioned tools is included in the cost of refurbishing and no additional charge will be required to ship your refurbished tools back to you.
